“The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.” — Lamentations 3:25
For more than three decades, Emmanuel Nnaji, from the Agric Parish of the Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement, Lagos, battled with asthma. All efforts to get a cure proved abortive. But in the course of a ministration at Agric Parish recently, the sickness that had tormented him all these years was flushed out. Today, he is a happy man and grateful to God for delivering him from the scourge of the ailment. His testimony:
“I want to share with the church today the testimony of how God granted me divine healing from asthma that had lasted for over thirty two years.
In the recent past, the ministrations that came to us from the pulpit of many colours were under the following themes: “Thriving In A New Dimension’ and ‘New Wine In New Bottles’. These messages talked about the health of God’s children. On a particular day, while our pastor ministered, he declared that people with any type of sickness would receive their healing as the message progressed.
Later he asked those who had one sickness or the other to come forward for prayers. I was one of those who surged forward to be prayed for because I had this problem of asthma that had proved difficult to treat. While I was suffering from it, I always found it extremely difficult to sleep whenever I went to bed. It was indeed a thorn in my flesh and my prayer had always been that God should grant me healing. I was aware that it is a deadly disease that could suddenly terminate somebody’s life, so I directed all my energy and resources to finding a remedy, or at best, reduce its effect on me. That was all I could do until our pastor prayed for us that day, and since then, I have been enjoying my sleep like a baby. The sickness (asthma) has been shown the way out. I thank God for healing me. Praise the Lord!”
